Just been reading on FB the guy that sold it, Scott Kinney to James Gallo for $7k!

So 600 pieces average out at around $11.50. There's a healthy markup there on almost everything he's selling.

The mind boggles that 600 ACCESSORIES sold for $7000 in a bulk lot, I would only expect to average $5-10 per complete figure on that kind of volume. I dread to think what the total he sold them for individually is!

I know it's a hideous markup but the guys a dealer, it's what he does for a living and anyone who says they haven't brought something Star Wars cheap and made a heap of cash selling it at a gross markup is either a liar or nickIOW.

The answer is not to buy it.

I don't mind dealers. Never have never will but there's a mark up and then there's greed. This is greed.

I did see a regular poster called Giles earlier today on echo base start spouting about "killing muzzie bastards and dumping their bodies in the sewers" and unsurprisingly starting a shitstorm.

I had a read up on that as it was posted across via screenshots on another group... sounds like the admin took the side of the guy that started it all off... bad form. No wonder people are leaving.

Recently discovered I had two of those Pacman Yodas - think I sold one for about £45 so not a massive mark up on normal Yodas, which go for around £35 I think. $80 seems high to me.

One of the older variants and more tangible than the coo variants in my opinion

I have four yodas. All visibly different.

I know edd doesn't buy into this variant stuff but I have a simple and unfallible variant test. I put them both in front of my wife. If she can tell the difference without me prompting her, then it's a variant. If she can't, it's not. Simple.

I can accept as variants. It's the "raised bar" gubbins that gets me. I swear I remember a member on here boasting about having a figure with "raised bar, but not quite as raised as my other raised bar..." when it gets to the stage where you have to turn the figure round and look ridiculously closely at the back of it to tell the difference, it aint no variant, YOU JUST NEED TO GET OUT MORE!!!!!

Cloth/Vinyl cape, yes fine. Large head small head, again yes. Raised bar COO's, I'm looking at you strangely. Raised but not quite as raised as the other raised bar, I'm phoning the guys to come help you fasten your coat up at the back. :lol:

Each to their own, but some of the "variants" people find are just ******* daft.
