I haven't bought a hi-fi for about 15 years, and the one we have is definitely on its last legs so it's time to get a new one.

I'm looking at getting a system that has:

A CD player;
A turntable;
Streaming capability (ideally Wi-Fi or some kind of connectivity to a PC or hard drive - not bothered about Spotify etc...);
USB connectivity;
DAB.

The Marantz MCR611 (http://www.whathifi.com/marantz/m-cr611/review) looks to have what I need, and I'd just buy a turntable and speakers on top (Richer Sounds do a system with the Dali Zensor 1 speakers for £479 which looks promising).

Can anyone recommend anything similar/better with all the above functionality for around £500-600?

I don't think you'll get many replies on this, as hi-fis are pretty much obsolete in favour of convenience. Most people's music is now on their iPhones, and they probably just plug them into an iPhone speaker unit. I have an amp so I can run my surround system through it for my TV. If I want to play music in the living room I just plug my phone into the amp.

Loving the difference in the two answers guys :)

I can't bring myself to purchase a Bluetooth speaker. My missus loves her vinyl too much anyway, and I still prefer to buy music in a physical format. I love the flexibility of having the option to play from vinyl, CD, streaming from a NAS drive or (if it really comes to it) a phone. I don't listen enough to justify buying separates though, so I think I'm going ahead with the Marantz. Still not sure on which turntable to get, and we're off tomorrow so I'll see what they recommend.

I'm still using my old stack system from 15 years ago, I mostly listen to minidiscs and vinyl cos the sound is far better than anything else but upgraded it with a bluetooth receiver so I can use Spotify.
I've got a pair of 1200's plugged into it too, mk 2's were quite pricey a few years back cos technics stopped making them but you might pick up a reasonable second hand one now they've confirmed they're going back into production. They last forever.

I use an Onkyo 605 AV Amp with a bluetooth reciever and 7.1 speakers....add an old phone or tablet for streaming and you're set.
