This weekends auctions

I did the one thing I suspect everyone of us swfukers has done - while waiting for the timer to run down before putting that snipey bid in, decide its a good time to have a quick nose at the forums...

Trilogo R2D2 went for £116 and I didnt get bid in due to losing track of the time reading forums - I'll just keep telling myself they put a massive bid in and I wouldnt have won it anyway... damn forums, hmmph! :D

Sweet price on the Chewie pickup mate :)

Thanks dudes. Ebay really isn't all that bad. But then you see a Vader ROTJ cardback with no bubble and a figure go for 30 odd quid (see sales section). WTF?

It will have gone for way over the odds, Nick... don't even bother checking

Was watching an ESB R2 that went in excess of £200 this weekend! Also an ESB Snag that went for daft money. Crazy

Was the R2 Trilogo from the same seller that had the Harbert autographed Princess Leia MOC that went for £300.

I personally think that was a bloody bargain. But I think what put a lot of people off would be the writing on the MOC, personalising a MOC to someone devalues it when coming to sell.

 missed so many auctions like that

Well played xpack

Glad it's not just me... prices even for everything down to scrappy lots seem to have been creeping up for a while.

Sweet pick-ups chaps. It's certainly all in the hunt for a bargain for me, managed to win a nice bunch of 6 loose die-casts recently including a Star Destroyer with Blockade Runner. On a very strict budget so a juicy purchase in my little world. :)

I rarely watch an auction finish, too tempting to start ramping up the bids. Just put in what I'm willing to shell out (usually not much!), then let it roll. 8)

That's the one - I lost out on that Leia by 99p - if it hadn't had the guys name on id have been all over it - but so would a lot of others!

There have been plenty of times when I have been the highest bidder on something I only want 75 percent with just a minute to go and in the back of my mind am hoping i get out bid in the last few seconds, more often than not i do but when I dont, i think ****, y did i bid, Sometimes i am happy though.
thats why its best to only bid on something you want 100 percent.

I can definitely relate to that  there's a few times as well when I've bid on something after a few beers that finishes during the night for me (bloody NZ time!) and gone to bed and woke up with an uneasy feeling in my stomach
