My son was given beaters and mini rigs at about that age and grew to love the films through them, now at 13 he's a lego SW collector in his own right... start 'em young get the best results

This is my boy aged 14 months, he was obsessed with that xwing.
That was two years ago, he loves it now, he's got loads of galactic heroes and beaters and plays with them daily.
Always puts a smile on my face.

Lee I couldn't agree more - we collect because of the happy memories so lets make sure our kids have the same.
I've already started stashing some modern vintage collection figures away in the loft just ready for the day I have grandkids. They can watch the latest version that Disney has released on blu ray/holographic projector/virtual reality and I'll produce a box load of figures and ships and be the coolest Granda in the world :D

Here is my daughter playing with my very first SW ship. It picked up a little more wear and tear during the adventures but we've had a lot of fun.

At bed time she always took her book, tigger and her favourite figure R5D4 to sleep next to her on her pillow

She turns 18 this October and has a great mix of modern and vintage, here's her room.

Great thread! My son was given a Gonk as his first SW toy. Two days later he came up with this...
