i know about checking completed listing but to honest i still haven got a clue about prices with certain card back being worth more and condition of cards and bubbles ect
im not in any rush and dont want to over pay on stuff and most of all dont want to get scammed
with reseals
if any one can help me with prices ect id be very greatfull

ROTJ Kenner MOC collecting is quite a good choice if you want to spend less and get them quick.

Check this - http://www.ebay.co.uk/csc/i.html?_nkw=%28rotj%29&_sacat=56306&_sop=1&_dmpt=UK_ToysGames_ActionFigures_ActionFigures_JN&LH_Complete=1&_odkw=%28rotj%2C+-+tri%2C-+cardback%29&_osacat=56306&_trksid=p3286.c0.m270.l1313

Loads ending for £20 -30 most days.

There are exceptions for more sought after characters or rarer cards but the majority can be had cheaply in decent condition :) I would say figures like Vader on an ROTJ card are £45-60, Luke Farmboy is £70-100 etc but when it comes to those just think : I can buy one good character with my funds or 3 crap ones.. :D

It depends how fussy you are as to how easy or difficult a Jedi run will be. imo a "mint" or close to. run is THE hardest run to put together but if condition is not a factor then it's one of the easiest and certainly the cheapest.

Here are the issues- Kenner Jedi cards almost always have yellowing bubbles. To various degrees but i'd say 96% will be yellow.
ROTJ crads are not as common and as easy to find as people assume. Many have been ugraded and this makes a ROTJ Ackbar or Nien Nunb in good condition as or more difficult to find than, for example, a Trilogo Yak Face.

On ebay Uk at the moment-
Ackbar: 1 Palitoy, 3 Kenner (non in very good condition and one is a pure beater)
Nien Nunb: just 2. 1 very good and one quite poor
Yak Faces: 2 both good AFA examples.

Solutions- If you DO want clear bubbles Palitoy tend to be a bit better and MIM (Made in Mexico) Kenner cards tend not to be yellow tho i don't think you can get all the figs on MIM.

As i've said, if yellow bubbles don't bother you then you'll have an easy time. If they do you'll have a mare. I've been trying to put together a small run of ROTJ mocs with clear bubbles since i started collecting and so far i have 2.

Hope this helps... and doesn't put you off. ROTJ runs are underrated imo.

thanks joe and pete i think ill be okay with yellow bubbles i just dont want any cracked or badly dented i have monthly buget to stick to thats why i choose the rotj cards what about boba fett how much dose he fetch

Then you should do fine  Crushed bubbles etc aren't an issue like they can be with tri logo collecting. You can get some really nice bubbles, albeit yellow, on really nice cards for very reasonable prices.
Iain has a few for sale right now in the sale section. A few Emperor's Royal Guards in soso to good condition but at bargain prices. The ERG is one of the harder ROTJs to find and if you want him in good condition you will have to fork out close to 100 quid+.

see this is the type of info i need pete i would have thought the ERG would have been one of common ones i honestly havent got a clue i will probably be posting lots of auction links for advise ill have a look at Iain stuff

Just sticking to ROTJ characters, the harder ones (most expensive) to get are -

Luke Jedi (not difficult to find but usually on the pricier side compared to other ROTJs), ERG (as i've said), Nien Nunb (get harder to find tho not hugely expensive. Yet), Admiral Ackbar (ditto), Leia Combat Poncho (a little dearer than most ROTJs), Lumat and Paploo (both part of the Last 17 but both released on ROTJ cards. Again, slightly more expensive than other ROTJs).
Other than those you should be able to pick up cards for around £30-£45 in fairly decent condition.

As i said, i was just counting ROTJ characters. If you include all 77 then you open a whole new can of worms with regards to prices and difficulty. Luke FarmBoy can set you back anywhere in the region of £2-£300, Leia Organa £3-£400, Fett £250-£300, Death Star Droid 150+. Most SW (first 12 especially) characters will be pretty expensive on ROTJ cards. ESB will not be as bad. The more expensive ones being Fett, Yoda (£50-80), Luke Bespin (£60-100). In fact, any Luke or Leia pre ROTJ will be relatively expensive on ROTJ backs.

i do plan to collect the hole set it gonna take me a few years this one looks nice

Thanks for the promotion Pete - I'll send your cheque over later

In all seriousness, everything that Pete and Joe have said is bang on. I think this is a great time to collect MOC - the prices for most figures are dirt cheap - I sold a Leia Poncho the other day for £20 yet I have sold a Poncho belt £5, Poncho Helmet £4.00 and a Blaster for £11.00 so work that one out.

For me the MOCs are unique - there are plenty of Yak Faces out there and there always will be - they pop up in collections all of the time. However IMHO there are nowhere near as many undiscovered MOCs out there and with the existence of U-Grading  and the fact that these items are so easy to damage means that there are less and less MOCs out there

I have quite a few starter cards up for sale at the moment and have a few more to list soon - if you want any more info/pictures then let me know

That is a nice card - Stormies always do well because they are a popular card. I would expect this one to go for between £40-£60

thanks for the heads ups its a shame his madine looks nice aswell ill ask question before i bid and take it from there

And beware of sellers like starwarsfigures on ebay. EVERYTHING he sells is reseal or repro. He does mention it but it could still fool someone as it's always in the small-print.
