Things that got you chuffed as a Kid?

Wasn't sure what a Hotshot was until somebody mentioned Midnight Pumpkin. I still have my Lunchbox. Got it out two or three years ago and did a full restoration. Got a brand new shell and chrome bits. Sprayed the shell yellow and new put on replacement stickers.

Ages ago I put on an elecy speed controller, ball races, Reedy motor. Goes like the bloody hell!! Good thing it's got that wheely bar :p

Allowing for the cultural differences between UK/Ireland and Norway, my list is as follows:

Christmas! Even school was a joy during the season.
Finding dirty mags in the woods (this seems to be a universal thing for those who grew up pre-internet. Kids these days...)
Lego - creativity made solid (in plastic).
Riding my bike with my mates on those long summer nights
Spending hours playing Donkey Kong and similar, equally repetitive games and thinking the technology couldn't be bettered...
Birthdays - when you got presents only twice a year, this other gift-giving occasion was a second christmas. Plus you got cake!
The Muppet Show on TV- got my imagination running no end and was endlessly entertaining, plus a little bit scary
Snow- in Norway we got a lot, and would spend most afternoons building, sliding down hills, having snowball fights and come inside shivering

Well the list could probably be a lot longer, I had a very happy childhood ;)

Another favourite was the shower section as the generally showed a woman but with the best areas blurred out behind a shower screen or curtain.

Sometimes you were lucky enough to see a bit of arse crack in the shower photos. Never nipples though.

I can add being off school "sick" and looking through aforementioned undies section to my list

Talking of childhood bikes. We just got sent this as a gift in the office. I must admit I haven't such fun on a bike since getting rid of my Grifter.
