The welcome email for newbies

Any news on this Edd?

Edd hasn't been able to sort it as it looks like a welcome email on registration would need a site plugin, I am not 100% sure if that means it's a no go now or Edd will look into it further but he is aware of the suggestion of a welcome email and has said at the mo it can't be done.

Sorry if that doesn't really clear things up but that is as far as we are with it :lol:

Forgive me i am not the best with computers - "Whats a site Plugin?

Plugins are things that can be added to sites to give you different abilities, like..you can add a chat to the forum, a picture hosting gallery etc. These are all "add ons" to the normal forum platform.

Incorporating a welcome email into the registration process is obviously not part of the default set up of this board
