Really mixed feelings on the line up myself. I feel they have both missed a trick and taken an easy option to do LEGO... maybe it was a paying gig...

LEGO has to be the most documented history of any toy line using popular media. Its been done to death, I must've seen a dozen shows telling its history, celebrating anniversaries etc. etc. I feel quite let down by that one. Don't get me wrong, it certainly shaped my childhood and it has without doubt been a cultural phenomenon in its own right. I still buy it and still look in any LEGO store I pass, so its not a lack of love for the toy. It also fits the bill of what the show is showcasing, but it just feels so done to death.

Transformers and the Star Trek (presuming this is the Mego 6/7" lines, but I guess will include the later 3.75" too) will both be interesting and were both pretty obvious toy lines to go after, no issues with those. Hello Kitty, i'm actually really curious how that will come over, something I know very little about and probably has a very interesting story.

SO three wins and a meh from me... never know, if they're all as good as series one, I may yet be convinced another LEGO show is worth it anyway!

... and on to series 3 guesses (which I think we have to bear in mind its US made)

- Hot Wheels? (i'd love a matchbox one personally!)
- Jurrasic Park?
- Sylvainian Families?
- Electronic hand held games (broad I know... but...) Astro Wars, Firefox, Frogger... Nintendo Game & Watch!!! c'mon!
- Thundercats
- Zoids

Could write that list forever... maybe I'll just pop over to the 'Other Vintage Collections' thread :D

I'm only intrested in one out of the 4 episodes, transformers. I don't remember Star Trek being a massive hit? If they had done Mego, that would have been great. I'm surprised they aren't doing WWF hasbro line, but are doing hello kitty. And I agree, Lego has been covered far too much. Oh, and TMNT toy line was massive!

Would love to see a Zoids episode... I loved Zoids. Only problem is I blame Zoids for me not buying the last 17. I enjoyed all of the episodes in the first series. I guess the hard part now is finding Toylines that fill whole episodes. I feel like the Star Wars / He Man episodes all had a journey and interesting story. I hope the new episodes are the same.

Love the series so far, watched the SW & HM episodes multiple times. Can't wait for the new ones.

Really looking forward to this, I thought the Barbie episode was the stand out hit of series 1 and totally unexpected. hoping that one of these episodes shows the cut throat and seedy nature of toy production too

I'm with you on that and I remember seeing a Hello Kitty exhibition at the Seattle Museum of Pop Culture which was really interesting so I'm hoping for good things.....saying that though I did also see loads of Gus Lopez's original Star Wars props and costumes on display and they really were the highlight of the trip....well that and the full sized Alien from Aliens and countless blade runner props like the spinner so I recommend giving it a visit if you ever get the chance.

Looks like you've found the perfect excuse to visit, it's an amazing place and there's lots to do in Seattle once you've finished there. :D

Just watched the first episode, Star Trek. Really enjoyed it, I know absolutely nothing about Star Trek Toys, they completely passed me by as a kid. Been watching loads of Retroblasting on YouTube too, can't get enough of the vintage toys.

Yeah really enjoyed that too. There's so much great vintage stuff out there to watch. It's a great time to be a collector.
