Has anyone seen how much stronger the dollar has become the last few weeks? It's back to around 1.55! No idea how that happened so fast. No more "half price" US purchases

I have been watching as well, I think I may have missed the boat

A few years back it was basically half the price, and it was great, got all my carded ewoks and droids from the US and even with postage was getting great deals!

Now it might be over, but then again with all thats going on , who knows if it will stay that way for long...

I bought some of my Palitoy items from the states and got stung on the import duty. This was the reason why i stopped buying from the states.

Agreed! Paypal's currency converter is poor at the moment for us Brits buying from the states. $10 is just under 6 six quid where it was nearer 5 a short while back. Doesn't sound a lot but when you make bigger purchases it certainly mounts up.

As far as loose figures go - you can get them cheaper from the uk at the moment. You just have to watch more for repro weapons on ebay in the uk plus take into consideration that a lot of sellers in the uk overgrade their figures :roll:

PayPal's currency converter is poor period. Always happy to steal an extra few pennies or pounds from you. Better to use your credit card's converter.

I don't remember my last purchase from the States but I did seem to have a this nice ability to attract customs charges and that lovely "handling fee" parcel force charge. :roll:

The euro is also going down rapidly against the dollar, so rapidly that I'm reconsidering my projected next acquisition. :| Against the pound it's still reasonable though. Will be buying more from you British I think. :wink:

Hopefully this trend wont last for long. To be honest most of my Kenner stuff came from.
At the moment dont buy anything overseas unless its a bargain or you really need it.
But at the same time its a good time to be selling items to them if you have any.
