I'm not fussed either way with the Royals. No saints but they do more good than harm. What I don't like is the Daily Mail / Alf Garnett style nationalistic chest beating bullshit. I'm with the late great Bill Hicks, who did a bit along the lines of - 'are you proud to be American?' '....umm, didn't have much say in it. My parents ****ed there, that's about it. Instead of flags, if there were banners with our parents ****ing on them... bit tricky to get too proud about it.'
