The Phantom Menace in 3D 9/2/12 -Anybody gonna watch it?

Hi guys. The TPM is gonna be released on the 9/2/12.

I am in two minds as to go wether to go. :?

Couldnt agree with you more! But I for some reason I feel the need to see all 6 in 3D not just one orignals only to leave the prequels out! :?

I'll be taking my 4yr old to see it, I guess what seems like a big steaming turd of a film to us may be good viewing for the youngin's. I'll be seeking it out in 2D though as 3D sucks balls.

I will be sure to remind him they don't have a patch of the originals though.

No way George was going to release the original trilogy first, he needs to make some pocket money off the prequels before cashing in on the diehards.

I hated that movie the first time I watched it...I doubt high price 3D effects are going to make it any better......you can not hide bad acting by giving it to me in 3D

My 6 year old loves the original trilogy, he really loves ESB. However, Darth Maul etc excite him like the AT ATs and the speeder bike chase excited me (ok they still do).
There is something about going to watch Star Wars with him on the big screen, just like when i went as a kid with my dad.
It's the father son bonding thing which is more important to me.
Yes i can't wait for a New Hope and the other two, but i'm sure i could put up with Jar Jar just to have that special connection with my little padwan!
He is my twin son, thank goodness for him he wasn't called Luke, it was discussed though!! :lol:

I'll be going. TPM certainly wasn't the SW I was wanting, but it is bearable for me. I also love the experience of going to the cinema, loading up on Popcorn and seeing a SW movie. I know that depending on how well these do determines on wether the next one will be released and I'd love another chance at seeing 4-6 in the cinema again 3D or not.

I hate all this 3D bollocks, its just a way of draining more money out of films, ive been to see a couple of 3d films but got bored lol

i suppose star wars might be worth a look though

Yea think I'll be going just because it gives me an excuse to go to the cinema. Plus intrigued how it will look in 3D, will view my opinions once viewed.
