I am sure we all have our tales of woe when it comes to all things vintage but I thought I would bring you mine.

Package arrived for me this morning from the States - all marked up with 'gift' and '$35' -only paid for on the 17th and brilliantly packed. Upon opening it I found my boxed POTF Sail Skiff all in fantastic condition. I put it to one side and thought, I know, later on I will get a picture of this for the lads on the forum.

So this afternoon I take it all out of the packaging - cos I thought - what's the point of taking a picture of just the box - lets get it all set up - so I start to assemble it and .....DOH! I manage to snap one of the rails with my big fat clumsy fingers - this great looking ship that has managed to last over 25 years complete and intact now contains a broken part

I'm sad, annoyed and angry all at once and have no one to blame but myself

The rails do come up on ebay but, well they are the most fragile part, of the most expensive ship, so they are quite, um, expensive to replace :lol:

Bargain I reckon. There were some spares on ebay.com listed for ages, the guy wanted 60$ a piece for the rails.
