yeah i cant think of any independent book shops but there is an independent nerd shop that may have stuff....you never know!

I originally thought the same as Peter & had no idea that Mr Kellerman published his book entirely on his own at his own expense so thanks John for explaining the situation!

Shane self-published The Force in the Flesh, I'm pretty sure Stefane did with his Meccano book, and if I'm not mistaken ToddD will be self-publishing his MONSTER of a book, The Saga Museum (http://www.thesagamuseum.com/blog/). It's a labor of love but I'm told that not only can it be expensive but also very frustrating. It's great to see the final product, and even better to sell out, but a tough road getting there. Many of these books are dine at great expense just to share with the community.

I had the opportunity to meet John at CIII. Though we chatted for maybe fifteen minutes, he happened to be very nice and share some great wisdom about the hobby. He personally signed my copy. Best $25.00 I spent at CIII.
