The hobby in 5 years

I don't think he's holding on to his stock to sell when the price gets higher, I think he's lying low.

Sadly not, he's still selling just as much stuff as usual:

Not bucket loads, but he never did. He's just switched to selling only his Kenner and POTF MOCs. He hasn't sold a single trilogo for several months, which is very unusual.

Marsking? to tell the truth I didn't know that was his ebay account so interesting to note, a seller that I will never buy from.

I know that some people have said they like to own a toy toni, and I just hope that as time goes by that the sentiment never softens to 'good old Toni' he fooled us all, he wasn't such a bad guy.

To me, I never got scammed by him, but I will always regard the man as an utter scumbag and a pox on the hobby.

And he doesn't even like Star Wars? Well, that at least is good to hear. I wouldn't want to share my passion with that sad little leech.

Toni, will have passed on and there will be a thriving Palitoy unused cardback collecting community of the 5000 cardbacks he didnt card up.

I must admit that thought crossed my mind the other day. He is no spring chicken, he has 15-20 years max left of being able enough to sell his stock. So what's he going to do with it all?

I honestly can't believe he's not cashing in now, as I'm sure you have all noticed he has stopped selling his trilogo's because he has no doubt noticed the spike in prices so is holding on to them. Rewind only a year and he was listing pop-up R2's, A-Wing Pilots, Imperial Dignitary's, Paploo's etc virtually every week.

So either he's running low (which I very much doubt) or thinks it's all going to be worth even more in a couple of years so is holding on to it. But either way, unlike most of us he doesn't have youth on his side, so is going to have to liquidate it all eventually. I know everybody is sour about the Toni MOCs, but he has a **** load of genuine stuff.

I would love to see it all end up in the hands of somebody decent that would not only sell it all but show off the haul, from a historic point of view I think it's criminal that such a huge stash, probably the best there has ever been, has never been documented and simply drip-fed just so some old guy that doesn't even like Star Wars can dodge getting a real job.

Interesting stuff - so you've met the enigma which is toytoni? How old are we talking?

It is such a shame that somebody like him is seemingly sitting on one of the biggest hoards of carded figures out there. Would love to know what he's got and what quantity, he's been drip feeding for years and years.

Wonder if he reads all the posts about him!

If he's not a SW fan, how did he get into dealing in these so heavily. Made a full time living out of clearing out cheap SW stock in the 80s - must be nice!!

I've never actually met him in person, but I have seen him about. He's probably 65/70 at a guess. He was a toy robot dealer and I guess just chanced upon the Star Wars hoard.

Toni is an old school toy dealer. He gives zero ****s about star wars but has been able to secure a lot of stock which has been his bread and butter for years. Not just the stuff in the TT scandal, but loads of excellent quality kenner and trilogo cards. Most likely overstock I imagine.

He collects toy robots himself, and is into yoga and scuba diving.

There used to be a lot of photos of him online. I think he has locked them down now but his name is Antoni Emchowitz (sp). I think he may originally be from indonesia but I'm not 100% certain.

His age is approx 60. We may have confirmed this but I can't remember. Early on in the scandal I found a document at companies house linking him to a company he co founded with a person he had denied involvement with and that may have had his DOB on it. I can't remember though.
