It's hard to tell without close up clear pics of the cape ,but what I do know is the bidders had a realy realy high bid rate with this seller  just that in itself tells me everything ,the percentage rate does not lie ,so something is a miss !
Prices are just going up and up for the VCJ. However, there are still bargains out there- couple of months ago I picked one up for £350. It's in excellent condition and 100% genuine. Got the guy down from £550 as well I took a friend (vintage SW nut and vintage toy dealer by profession) with me for a second opinion, which is always a good idea, especially with so many fakes out there. May be worth holding fire and being patient. £1k is crazy IMHO
Although not 100% mint due to the hole in the cape of the cape I got my off here for £200 last month. The figure was wrong so I swapped it for a spare with the correct COO.
Patience is definitely a virtue.
Was lucky enough to pick up mine from French Ebay, for just under £300.
Was listed as 'Plastic cape' rather than 'Vinyl'.
