Poon is packaging his stormtroopers as palitoy 12 back MOC. They say 'NOT FOR RESALE' on the underside of the footer, well at least the one pictured does.

No surprise there - apart from how long it has taken for him to do this. The not for resale is at least a token gesture in the right direction

i just wish he would have a blank backed card or advertise his customs on the back ect to make it totally unsellable as an original.

its far too easy for someone to not show the bottom of the footer or remove it.

if people only want these for display then he should have no issues with making more changes.

Agreed, he's done just enough that it could still be sold by some dodgy prick with some clever wording in his Ebay listing to suck a few people in.

He's selling Kenner versions too if you check his other listings, noticed at the bottom of the page a member by the name of "plokoon1138" viewing the thread. Wonder if that's our friend My Poon?

RS will call them bootlegs of course....and pat him on the back for the "Not for Resale " BS. A step in a good ditrection I suppose....but stamping "REPRODUCTION" on the bottom would have been better.

Yeah, conveniently ignoring the fact that a "bootleg" made today IS STILL ILLEGAL! Yer dumb shits.

Bloody scary....does that mean he or some other manufacturer is already doing it (with no "not for resale" stamped on it)....can these FAKES fool a veteran or a grader?

Should I as a new collector hoping to have a set of authentic 12 Backs in the future be worried?

They're hard to spot from a photo on ebay, but if you have one of these in hand, the card is really thin, shiny and glossy as mentioned in the blurb:-

"Using commercial printing equipment, a printing firm printed this amazing cardback so it is extremely sharp & glossy."

So it's immediately obvious that the card is reproduction.

The problem here is that these repros will be bought by someone and then sold on ebay as being original MOC, ripping off some unsuspecting noob palitoy collector.

The one thing I'm wondering now is if we're going to see an increase in Stormtrooper,Palitoy 12 back cards for sale? I'm thinking that the seal won't be good (probably just tape like the other ones he makes) so a opened bubble/reseal missing footer shouldn't be a problem but if you rip the bubble off then it might be hard to tell. It's probably not going to be a massive problem right now with the cost of it verses the amount an original card back goes for but the way these things have been going up in price lately it might not be long before it's worth doing for someone.

Auction listings have been pulled :D

Someone reported him. That would be the first time it happened to him and Ebay actually reacted. For the longest time I thought he was sucking someones dick at Ebay, as no matter how much you reported Mr. Poon he seemed to be made of Iron.
