I hate it when you get home and the Red Card from the postman states
that your parcel is waiting for collection at the local office as it needs a signature!!

Can they not get a neighbour to sign for it? I want it now, yes I'm inpatient!

At least I may be able to pick it up tomorrow. 8)

always a pisser

we're mostly lucky in that our postie signs for us, or drops it off next door

Lucky ye if you can trust your neighbours.
I had a package dropped off 1 year later by the landlord of the house next door when the **** head tenant from one of the studio flats moved out.
Package had been opened but the X Wing MIB as fine.

What you expecting to pick up tomorrow Burnsy?

Just get friendly with the postie

Sometime can be dodgy letting some else sign for it, always best signing yourself

Having been a postie a few years back, some wont bend the rules to help you though

Personally i dont mind it. I hve had about 4 of them in the last 10 days. 2 for my collection and 2 for work stuff.

I guess it depends on how far the collection depot is and what time you get back from work.

My collection depot is the main sorting office in cheltenham and is open from 06.30 to 18.00 and is about a ten minute walk from where i live.

So stop being bloody lazy, go and get it first thing in the morning and get some pics in the limelight section. 8)

P.S. hope it is a cool item.

P.P.S - got to say though i do get pissed off when it is the courier companies. It usually means i have to drive for about half hour. The last time was on a saturday morning about 4 weeks ago and i was seriously hungover.

Taking the kids to footie training in the morn so I'll try and get it after that.

I think it may be a Ledy item I've been waiting on.

Most of my stuff gets left at the neighbours but every now and again I have to go and pick it up and then they fart arse about when I get there trying to find it! I'm in a moany mood, but hey ho.....it's the weekend!!!!!

Officially, no. The only way around it (by the book) is to have a designated other delivery (safe drop). It's mentioned on the back of the card at the top. You need to contact your delivery office if you want to arrange it.
Trust me, it's safer back at the office rather than left on your doorstep or in a wheelie bin.

I still am, and to be honest, it's better to do your job right than risk the chance of getting caught - they'll sack you - it's all part of Royal Mails grand scheme to have a part time workforce. Get rid of the full timers and replace with part timers.

Not as bad as getting the bloody red letter from parcelfarce saying you owe them import duty...bastards !

Stu u lazy ****, just go and collect it and stop whinging ;)
