I would like to put up a post of thanks and gratitude to all past and present members of the armed forces on Remembrance Day.
Thankyou to you all, for you have and are doing, I for one, would like to thank you

Well said Mike.

I have to admit, looking after my 2 little bin lids today I totally missed the 2 minute silence at 11am, looked at my watch and it was 12.15 and I hadn't stopped all morning. Felt gutted and really bad.

We would not be where we are today if it were not for all the brave men and women putting their lives on the line to defend our country.

I salute all of you, past and present for what you have done and still do today. You all have my utmost respect and admiration.

Lest we forget.

An excellent post, Mike; and I couldn't have expressed my gratitude to our armed forces both past and present any better myself, Chris.

Utmost respect and admiration, indeed.

I very much agree with the thoughts and sentiments in this thread.

Without wishing to sound like my Dad, I think a lot of 'kids' today don't know just how lucky they are - these people fought and died just so we can enjoy the freedoms that we do

We owe them a huge debt of gratitude

Too true. One of the parades I went to today wasn't isn't a particularly nice area and I was watching some unsavoury types wandering around going to the bookies for their morning bet pissed and dressed in pyjamas. It was bloody cold and one guy had shorts and flip flops on! There's just no decency in these people. Soldiers fought and died for our liberties and way of life and yet they choose to live this way. So annoying :x

Hopefully these people are a minority and the rest of us are thankful for what went on.
