Guys and girls.

A few of you knew about my mum and her illness. Motor Neurones disease is a horrible illness that over the last 18 months my family has seen take a very strong lady down to a tiny shell. Yesterday, it finally took my mum up to heaven to be with my dad. A very sad day but also a huge relief as she is no longer suffering.

I want to say a huge thank you to all of you on here that have helped me through the last 18 months. Whether it be a phone call, text, message on here or at Farthest From, the support I have had has at times been overwhelming.

I have to give my biggest thanks though to Jez and Grant_C. Without your phone calls and talks face to face at FF this would have been a lot harder to deal with.

So, from me to all of you, thank you.

Condolences Chris - but good to hear that you've it some good friends around you

Very sorry to hear this Chris, all the best to you and your family at such a difficult time, be strong mate!

Thoughts with you mate.
And by the way, the way you're dealing with this, and have been dealing with it, is immense.
You've demonstrated incredible strength. Your folks would have been so proud of their son.
Don't forget, no man is to big to share a tear when he needs to.
Grief is a strange vessel. Anytime you need a chat give me a holler.
Thoughts with you and your beautiful family.

So sorry to hear this sad news, I've not been on much of late & must have missed the threads concerning your mother's condition, so huge apologies for not being there, but glad the stress of seeing her decline & suffer is over for her & yourself, lost both mine parents to similar circumstances so feel your pain my friend, I'm only at the end of the phone if you ever want a chat.

I wish you strength for the days ahead in the healing process.

Sorry to hear the news. Thoughts are with you and the family. Frank and Jez summed it up pretty well. You got my number as well, if you wanna chat gimme a buzz (I'll try and speak the Queen's English so you can understand me!)

Chris, really sorry to hear your news, be strong bud, and you have family and friends around you, remember the good times and look forward mate.

Good to hear that the pain and suffering is over. Your mum and dad would be proud of you and your family and they way your coping.

It's a tough place to be watching someone you love go through something like that. I had the same with my Dad and cancer! But as others have said there is definitely something positive in knowing they are no longer suffering.

Please accept my very deepest condolences mate.

Chris, to echo what Jez said above - the way you guys have dealt with this has been amazing - you have been really strong and I am sure that your Mum was proud of everything you did

The holiday was well deserved and it looked like you and the girls had a great time.

Sometimes, as bad as it sounds, an end to the suffering is the best thing possible and at least you have plemty of great memories to call upon

Sorry to hear of the sad news Chris, thoughts are with you and your family. Good to hear you've had some strong support from the guys during this difficult time :)

Chris i can't imagine what youre going thru pal but i can only offer my condolences and hope you are back in the groove sooner rather than later. Your mum sounded like a proper fighter and she's passed that on to her son. All the best.

I quickly acknowledged this in the limelight thread but then noticed this thread. Once again I'm really sorry to hear of yours and your family's loss. Best regards Fella. Grant.
