Hi Lads,

For the past few hours now whenever i click to read a thread, another tab pops up alongside the SWFUK tab saying 78.159.105.35/after.php?type=www.starwarsforum.co.uk & for some strange reason i can longer post smileys on messages & posts!

Has anyone had this type of problem before & does anyone know how to fix it as its doing my head in?

Cheers,

Mark.

That's a new one by me. I'm sure someone with a bit more computer knowledge (ie ANYONE else on here) will be able to shed a bit of light on it.

Hmm, there's a chance it could be a virus.
Are all your other web-sites behaving ok?

Try downloading this free anti-virus software. http://free.avg.com/gb-en/226187.tpl-crp
When i had a pc this was essential. Once downloaded you run it and it should detect any mal-ware on your computer and delete it.
If that doesn't work then it's something more serious but this works for most cases.

You definitely have a virus.

That ip address and the redirect brings up many virus hits on google:-

Here's the best one I found in English:-

As well as running AVG Free, you need to scan your computer with MBAM:-

Good luck!

i would recommend running superantispyware on your system to check for spyware and redirectors, if it doesnt solve the issue and a run of antivir or avg doesnt pick anything up i would do a reformat and re-install.

in my experience (im an IT manager) if you get anything that intrudes your PC its worth reformating and starting fresh, use an imaging tool like acronis or macrium reflect to image your machine after you have reformated, then you can roll back to the image whenever you like and never have to install windows again.
