Right, these are from the bottom of my children's 'tiny Star Wars' toy box. I bought a job lot of them years ago for my kids to play with and they have been fantastic value for money. The older two kids have outgrown toys, but my youngest still plays with them occasionally. The figures are a little bit battered but not too bad considering.

But what's going on? Anyone would think these things are toys to be played with! :D

Ha ha - exactly! And made in their millions (although maybe 10s if thousands for micro?)

Thanks andy for sharing the pictures of your childrens cool items, I did not know they looked like that :D

So are you hunting a box for them ?

Presumably these came in a white mailer box but I've never thought of looking for one. Think I will have to track one down now.

And unpainted factory samples are very common for micro collection. Some were taken by Kenner employees to test paint etc for other toy lines. The gold stormtrooper is also thought to be a test

I don't collect these myself, but a quick bit of Googling confirms you are correct. There's a picture of the mailer and even a link to a YouTube ad for the Build Your Armies mailer on TIG here:

That's great! thanks Jeremy

No problem Will, they are great sets and if they'd made the figures in plastic rather than metal I suspect that they would have been a lot more popular and would all look a lot tidier. They go well with the micro machine stuff too, we've got a good mix in the toy box.

The set up on the table is pretty much everything bar ships so not too much for you to hunt down, and still quite cheap!
