SWFUK PODCAST. Episode 7: Mr Trilogo. LAUNCHED

Thanks for having me on to have a chat Stu and co!

I'll tune in (when I can tune out for a moment!) soon and check the rest of the podcast out.

Hope everyone that listens gives these boys much needed feedback! They put a lot of time and effort into it and definitely deserve to know people are listening!

I just wanted to say what a fantastic job I think you guys are doing with these pod casts. Head and shoulders above any other SW podcast. I think you've got the level just right - enough banter to be fun but without the endless waffling you get from some others. I think the multiple host format works really well and I love that the interviews and some other sections are pre-recorded, it gives a really nice change of pace, and the fact that the interview questions are obviously worked out in advance makes it really slick and interesting. The music breaks are great as well and it's a lovely idea to promote SW related artists. I've loved the Oddballs section as well, I'm strictly a toy bloke when it comes to collecting, but I've actually found it really interesting. I think the length is great, long enough to give you a good fix to hold you over for next time. My only concern is that you're going to blow your load content wise! I wouldn't want you guys to run out of topics. I think the best way to avoid that, and provide some interesting content and stuff we haven't heard before is to interview people who have really tight focuses and get them to go into mega detail. I think the hard core collectors want to hear that stuff anyway, so they can listen to a really fun podcast but also come away with some new knowledge. But I'm sure you already have plenty of ideas.

This month I really enjoyed hearing about the Belgium trip, you could turn it into some sort of Top Gear thing where you do specials. Drive to Anahiem in a beat up 70s van with a SW mural on the side or something (but obviously something better than that).

The only type of article that I find a bit dull, and I mean in general, this is not a criticism of the SWFUK podcast, are the really tenuous toy industry related ones. The LP article on theswca.com for example, The question did SW kill the LP logo is an interesting one, but I'm not sure if we need more than 30 seconds of discussion about it, especially since we don't have an actual answer. What would make a really good section is posing a question and then finding a definitive answer, get some old gimmer from Kenner on the phone who can then say yes or no. That would be really interesting.

Anyway just want to say thanks for putting the effort in to do this. I know it must be a massive amount of work and I for one really appreciate it.

Cheers lads

Thank you there's some useful feedback here which we can work with. We appreciate all feedback but need stuff like this to learn and evolve. Remember, we've only done 7 shows so we are all still trying to find the right formula. Can't see us running out of ideas any time soon. There's so much SW!

Thank you so much for this. I agree, and you've made some great points.

The podcast is evolving all the time and we are still learning to swim. There will be even more diversity coming up.

Really appreciate the time you guys take to write feedback.

Like both Rich and Grant have already stated we really do appreciate all the feedback we receive and you my friend make some excellent points of which I'm sure we will take on board. Were evolving month by month and always looking to make our product better and better and we can only achieve this by people like yourself telling us what needs improving and what is enjoyed.

Thank you ever so much once again, if anyone else has feedback we strongly appreciate it.

Hi guys,

It's a great thing!

I just wondered if it would be better if you could put start points for each section?

I don't have time to listen all in one go and I think I may have missed some parts. I wanted to listen about the latest acquisitions and see people thoughts or how that section worked and my iPad tuned out and then I got distracted or I accidentally clicked on the page and shut it down.

It would be good if you could list each section and the time it starts in the podcasts then if people have a specific section they would really like to listen to then they could go straight to it.

Incidentally if you can tell me where the latest acquisitions section is I would be great, I think it's the only bit I missed. Even after restarting and skipping about 5 times!

Keep it up!

Bram

Another great Podcast lads thank you.
Listened intently from start to finish whilst commuting.
I have to hear about the Fem Troopers over a beer. Bobfoc! Nearly crashed the car I laughed so much!
Thanks again

Will ensure we posts times up on future shows, the LA section is roughly about twenty minutes in, after intro it's the first section buddy.

Just finished. Well jealous of the Belgium trip, sounded like a right laugh. Was good to hear Joe O for the first time, have spoken to him online so much
over the years. Some great insights and info from him. And the podcast team were excellent as always. Roll on the next podcast!

:)

cheers Jason

Spoilsport :( I was having fun! I've never seen any of your updates and posts in my newsfeed for some reason so I was catching up!

I've very much enjoyed listening to Grant, Rich and the rest of you getting angry about high prices, dealers and AFA premiums - well done chaps! Time to stand up to it all! ****ing twatty bollocks Erik and co!

Also really liked the explanation of "EP's" earlier in the show, thought that was very thorough.

I've even sat through my own interview which I was planning to avoid!

Really have enjoyed listening so far, I don't think I'll finish the podcast tonight but will try and come back to it and listen to it all before next months instalment.

Keep up the good work guys, you've done a great job for the forum by starting up the podcast and I hope you continue doing the shows!

Really enjoyed listening to the first couple of hours 8)
Then stopped it to go to Mem :? Should have stayed home and listened to the rest :)

another great show - Rich's CD skating daughter had me laughing out load

and I always wondered what Joe sounded like - great interview Joe but what you added to that Essex accent. Is that a bit of Romanian too

That's what 4 years living in a foreign country will do to you, where words and phrases like "ello geeza", "bangin" and "innit" are met with blank faces!

Great podcast , listened over the weekend.

Great information and enjoyed Joes piece. Nice one Joe

Listening to these podcasts, is educational so many new facts, and explanations, but done in an easy manner, non patronising....superb stuff again
Keep them coming :D
