Given that you're running out of time somewhat: We had a meet in London about 3 months ago at the Shakespeare's Head in Holborn; it's fairly big and it'll probably be fairly busy (although I imagine everywhere will be), but it's a Wetherspoons so no music and you can hear each other talk.

Watch your bags, boys. A good pub with a great range of beers but it's a notorious hotspot for bag thefts. The local scum and villainy will not be impressed with what they've nicked but it won't stop them!

shame i cant make it and meet some of you lovely chaps.

some nice quirky pubs around holborn, did a pub crawl around there last year and ended up having a nice curry in a place right by russell sq tube station which wasnt too pricey either so i'd head there for dinner.

2 stops northbound on the Victoria line and one stop eastbound on the central.

I reckon so mate, 45 minute walk otherwise or half an hour on a number 38 bus.

Btw it's 2 stops north on the vic and 2 stops east on the central - I missed one out.
