Hi guys, I would really appreciate your help. Thing is, I have a friend, who loves Star wars so much, so his birthday is coming up. He has seen a sw chess set on some movie, and found it online, in which, it seems, he is really into.

I have tried to find this chess set online, but could not, found just some alternatives, but not the exact version. I may be mislead here, and this might be very rare collectible, in that case I will go for something cheaper, but I need to know, how it is for real.

I'll add a link here to photo gallery of this chess set, maybe someone can identify it.

Thanks in advance, and I am sorry, if I posted in wrong section, I tried to pick the right one.

Cheers!

Ha ha - I was Suffolk Junior U14 Chess champion back in 1991 !

What a claim to fame

Ha ha

Yes my mum has all my trophy's - I have a couple of brothers and a sister and we won loads of them - best thing was that you also won cash prizes - I got the princely sum of £16.00 for my U14 win !

Hey £16.00 bought be a lot of things back in 1991 :D

I bet in 1991 you could have got 1600 penny sweets with £16.00!

****ing love Chess but I haven't played in years!

Anyway, back to the topic at hand.................. that could be a custom set so therefore isn't a licensed Lucasfilm version. Google SW chess sets and you'll probably find a thousand similar but not exactly like that one

Come on guys...Anyone see the word Giant in the background

Google Gentle Giant Chess set. Theres a metallic version, chances if the painted isn't a variant its a custom job of the metallic one.

I thank you

looks like a painted version of this one
