Just won the 2 below on Ebay as I'm going to build a small Stormtrooper army, as you can see, they both have slightly different mouths and one has further apart legs and appears a little shorter, are these likely to be different coo's, if so, my days of a varient collector have officially begun!

Could be a "Top Toys" Stormtrooper. They used molds made from original stormtroopers which made the 1 size down from the orginals.

Recieved them today.

The shorter one is a China (on a raised bar)

The other has the usual G.M.F.G.I. and date but no country of origin!

Anyone know if either of these could be clased as fairly rare or sort-after?

I've got a Hong Kong one as well (as I'm sure everybody else has one!)

Think I'll aim for a Ledy and a Luke Stormtrooper, and maybe a custom Han Stormie......

For anyone who's ever made a custom Han Stormie, how did you do this, just swapping the head on a Luke stormie (easy yet expensive!) or somehow grinding the head off of a original Stormie, adding a han head and getting a repro helmet?

You can use a regular trooper figure. I actually used an exacto knife and carefully cut the head of a normal trooper, then built up the neck and chest area using a liquid weld scuplting product. Then placed the head of a han onto it. Sanded and painted the scuplt area. The helmet will not fit over his head, but If you make a cardback and seal with the helmet loose, it looks great.

the ledys are a nice catch... but the early PBP's are from the same mold :)

the only difference is the plastic used and paint ops - COO same
