Stormie blaster: greenie black colour

Hi folks, Ive got a Luke Stormtrooper loose fig in the FS section listed with the incorrect Stormie blaster thats dark blue in colour, link below.
Ive just found one thats greenie black, definitely not dark blue, might this one be the correct one?
Impossible to photograph the differences (my ability anyway).

Hi Marc,

The green/black blaster was a very early version for the 12 backs. Like the green crossbow for Chewbacca.

The correct blaster for Luke Stormtrooper is absolute solid black, with no shade of any other color, not even translucent grey.

This is IMO a myth, green bowcaster is flat trigger guard, early bird Chewbacca baggies have been found with flat & round trigger guards and all pre production is round trigger guard.

I'm a bit confused. The Chewbacca bowcaster is the myth alone, or the Stormtrooper also?

In any event, I didn't mean the green ones were all you could find on the earliest figures. I meant the green ones don't show up, to the best of my knowledge, on anything except the earliest figures. Remember lots of factories were producing them, so while you may have the variant crossbows on early Chewbacca's, I believe the green tinted plastic weapons were only produced early on in the line's run at one of the factories (not all of them).

Hold on...what about the blue-black blaster that came with the Trilogo Luke stormie? I thought the solid black was POTF and the blue-black was TL? There's a couple of discussion threads about it on here somewhere.

The black blaster belongs with Luke Stormtrooper like Yak Face belongs with a weapon

I think most/all the early figure 'exclusive' traits like green weapons, brown eyes/brows, dark blue dome etc extended past early production. Even small head Han came on an ESB card. It seems odd that production 'type' would just stop, I guess things do change/improve. Mind you Taiwan for whatever reason produced a handful of figures in the SW era and then just stopped until ROTJ.

edit: I agree thou that 'green' weapons seem to appear earlier rather than latter. But the 'green' is not the same for jawa blaster, leia pistol, bowcaster & imperial blaster. I tend to see these descriptions as selling techniques more than facts.
