Hi guys

I know of a chap in the Wigan area who was broken into a few days ago and some his collection was stolen

I spoke with him yesterday and he's given me a run down of what went. I've advised him to check the local SciFi collectors shop and various second hand shops. He apparently goes on Rebel Scum so he will ask around on there. But to be honest i reckon it's just an opportunist crime and the thieving gets just liked the look of the stuff. It'll probably go on Ebay

What went, i'm told, is vintage stuff - Kenner, Hasbro - mostly 12 inch figures. See below

Kenner talking 12" OB1
12" R2
12" 3PO
Talking Hasbro Yoda
12" Darth Vader
12" Luke and Biggs Darklighter in X-Wing flight suits

None of the boxes were stolen. I think they were stored seperately. Some 3" figures also went but not sure what, and i suspect they would be much harder to trace.

If anyone sees this stuff cropping up on Evilbay then please PM me.

Tell me about it. The chap had other things stolen, like a TV and a laptop, but said he was most bothered about the Star Wars items. I would be the same

Cheers guys. I wasn't sure myself about the vintage of some of the stuff, not that it matters.

Anyone sees anything then please let me know.

Not good news

Unfortunately the 12" modern are quite common so unless they are sold as a job lot they could slip through the net. There are four of the Luke and Biggs two packs on eBay at the monent

I think I remember a thread last year on this forum about a guy who also got his collection stolen and some of the guys found parts of it on ebay and found the thief. So there is a hope that they find the thief and the collection.

I've seen it before where thieves are traced through Ebay. It's always best if the owner looks for their stuff as they will be more likely to recognise it. These items were stolen without the boxes. They were left behind :?

Yes that was the one, maybe this thief is also one that have been in the house before as a friend :?

Don't think so. They had other items like the TV and computer. Knowing the area the crims are mostly muppets without a clue. But i guess you can't rule out people you know :? ...Maybe i should keep my collection in the attic!
