Starwars A New Hope Revisited by Adywan - Anybody seen it?

Watched this at the weekend. Its a top job and really the only version I want to watch from now on. The whole thing was just a lot more convincing, details like the tie fighters attacking the Falcon and being able to see it was a moving battle with the stars flying past. Or when they were in hyperspace and the light was reflected on the characters in the cockpit. Little things that made sense really.

The bigger stuff was good as well like Yavin appearing in the battle scenes over the Death Star and the extra ships. The only flaw for me was in some of the new Star Destroyer shots where the animation wasn't quite right.

Probably won't be too much to do on ESB I wouldn't have thought, but Jedi needs some extra B Wing and A Wing scenes (I wish Lucas had sorted this last time).

I agree Simon its the thousand's of little / subtle changes that make the effects and the feel of the film far more convincing. I love the work he did on the cantina creatures no more rubber heads lol. He is half way through ESB at the mo and the changes look awesome especially to the Hoth battle.

I agree it looks a load better. Quite sad that one bloke on his todd can do a better job in a few years of evening work etc than Lucas and the entire ILM staff could do in how many years!?

It was a cool thing to do as well, i hope you have a multitower copier I popped a menu on mine, hopefully when i get the others...ill stck all three on a dvd with a menu

Jay, can I be cheeky and ask if you burn me a copy also? Sorry I know this is a few months after you did them - I looked into downloading it, but to be honest don't fully understand all the torrent downloading stuff - and am also slightly concerned about legality etc...
