I know we don't tend to talk about our other halves on here much, but I would like to give a special shout out to my lovely wife Katie.

She has been very tolerant over the years putting up with my star wars obsession and very supportive of my hobby.

She found my very first palitoy MOC purchase at the Cinema Store when I was starting out collecting.
She has let me use the loft room to display my stars wars and various other things I collect.
She found me vintage star wars curtains for the loft room were I display stuff, which I would have never thought of.

She has been very helpful with organising the CE2 road trip, speaking to campsites in German for me, and finding the car park P2 that we
are going to be using during our trip.

She has helped me countless other ways, most of which I have taken for granted.

My special princess.

Great post Jason, it's a fact - they put up with a lot, but as you say it's the best thing ever when they get involved whether to enjoy the hobby with us or to find special gifts that'll take us by surprise.

I'm with you, big thanks to all the wives and partners that either put up with or actively support our hobby - more specifically letting us spend far too much money :D

P.S.
If you are reading this Christine Chewbaccadave and Iain have lots of figures I want - give them a shout if you are looking for a "special gift", they'll keep you right :D

Good post. Tracey you haven't a clue how much I've spent and I think it's best kept that way. And I know we have 5 horses now although you still haven't told me about the fifth so I guess we're even!

Great post Jason.
My wife kinda likes the idea that i've had this passion for the last 30 years. I could be out pissing my money up the wall boozing, gambling, golfing etc. But i choose to do this instead, she recognises the fact that its all an "Investment".
She totally understands it, and also loves it. She considered making CE2 a family event!
When i went away to Afghanistan she bought me a Jedi Knight dressing gown to take with me because it was cold
When i got dressed up as a stormtrooper she loved it, i reckon she'd be well up for me trooping.

So here's to all the Star Wars Widows, we'll raise a stein to you in Germany!!

My girldfriend said she is going to start a NSWWG (Neglected Star Wars Wives And Girlfriends) support group. Im not entirely sure if she was joking or not....she opens my cave door and says "thats a holiday there" lol.

She dosent help herself buying me MOC's for fathers day. Stoking the FIRE!! Lol.

You know mate - joking aside its pretty much the same with my wife - I dont smoke, drink or gamble and I know she would hate for me to be like some of the husbands/partners that her friends have going out often and being one of the lads ...

I agree

So SW keeps us away from pubs, and keeps us where they know we are....hang on....we deserve medals

Great thread, and nice to see how many of us have supportive better halves. My mrs just read this and called it "mutual justification" :D . She's fine with my "obsession" as long as the family doesn't suffer financially

I don't get out much so the wife tolerates my Star Wars obsession as it's probably better than going out doing drugs or dogging.
