your purchase date solution seems very sensible. setting it very early shouldn't skew the tracker date either.

Well just to be clear - any price information you add stays private to yourself, it *never* contributes to the price guide. It's the only way to enforce the integrity of the data and prevent people intentionally skewing prices.
