Star Wars Time Machine Dreams, what's yours?

I know many people say it "I wish I had a time machine etc etc" to go back and buy things for themselves or to bring back things that are hot to sell in the current market..

Ok, so with the following rules , what would you choose and do:


Which Country would you visit?

What year would you visit?

What would you buy? (I think a sensible limit is 25 items, you can't fit more than that in your "Time Machine" )

What OTHER thing would you do on your Time Machine trip (it can be anything you want but must relate to the year/place you want to visit!)

that's eazy , id go to the places and times that they shoot the return of the jedi
and try to be one of the extra's

also i'd go to back the future style and get me an updated version of this

that way i can travel light get richand still have the thrill of the collecting hunt in the present

Besides from gettin´ rare items the greatest fun would be to enter toy shops and markets just to watch those shelves full of vintage SW stuff.

There are a lot of late 60s early 70s American muscle cars that I wish were buried in the desert waiting for me to dig up now. But being a greedy bugger I would go back in time mark out the 1 square mile in Kalgoorlie (gold mine) and be living the good life now And I am sure there is a way to use a time machine to guarantee some loving from some super models. Ahh with enough cash anything can be bought :wink:

If I had the time machine I would pick up all the different 12 back releases

Imagine the first 12 figures MOC on the following cards

Harbet, Meccano, toltoys, clipper, Canadian GDE, Palitoy, Kenner!

What would you buy? (I think a sensible limit is 25 items, you can't fit more than that in your "Time Machine" ) (well, considering there really wasn't much available in the first year as far as toys go I think I would settle with 25 Early bird kits :mrgreen: :mrgreen: )

What OTHER thing would you do on your Time Machine trip (it can be anything you want but must relate to the year/place you want to visit!) -

The main reason for my trip (which is my OTHER thing lol) would be to try and catch the film Star Wars on one of its premiers , to witness first hand the day that changed things forever for millions of people around the world!

Failing that , I would probably just visit Mexico in the early 80's and pick up 25 LL carded Fett's :mrgreen:

I also would quite enjoy flipping back the clocks and waiting outside Kenner HQ as a dumpster rat, shoving proofs and pre production material in a car whilst fleeing from security, I bet that was kick ass fun 8)

Visit the TRU I remember going to as a kid and just look at all those great 80's toys on the shelves.

I would go to Kenner HQ 1985 and go on a proto binge. First stop all the Droids and Ewoks figures, then the coins and to finish off Mask, Centurions and anything else I could get.

I would go back to '77, the Chinese theatre for the first showing of ANH.....what a thing to boast about 32 years later, I would keep the ticket stub too.

Collecting wise, a full set of 12 backs would be a must, a few carded Jawa's, a few complete sealed Cantina playsets, a few European Death Star playsets and a Star Wars boxed 12" Fett.

Next would be 1980, a first issue Luke Bespin, knees up, a couple of snake variation Yoda's MOC,

Next would be a full set of minty POTF 17 figures.

Just hope I have enough 10p's for the meter in the Time Machine.

(Oh I forgot, it's a non Star Wars one, but I would go back and see the first showing of Blade Runner)

How about taking out a ****ing huge morgage now and then going back to when Lucas was starting to try and flog SW to the various movie companies and offering to buy the toy rights off him, or (if you can find a bank dumb enough to lend you the money) offering to fund SW!

You could take $100,000 back with you but if the dates on the dollar bills were from like 2001 you would be ****ed lol
