Star Wars T Shirt Designs

Thanks - some interesting designs there - although I'm trying to mix the hand drawn with the typographic...
Maybe they'll accept my designs on their blog though?

Just seen these, very nice indeed, looking forward to some new designs especially with some of the suggestions here :)

Come lads you have missed the most blatant character/tagline combo of them all....

Admiral Ackbar

ITS A TRAP

You might need a few more words to get it to fit though...

Right - I've managed this one - I just need tos scan in the image and finish it off - it's looking pretty good though :)

Looking forward to seeing the results :D

It's not on any of the sites yet - I'll do that later - but here is the result!

Love it!!! Not quite as easy to pick out the mesage as some of the others but that definitely adds to it for me :D

Yeah - it was quite tricky to fit it together and still retain the Ackbariness :p
I think my designs have become a tad more abstract (in the layout of the text) - but all the better for it.

Compare the Blaster one to say this or the Ewok - I know which one I prefer.

Thanks

I think this is the best yet. I prefer it being more abstract.
Are you recreating these in Illustrator or another vector based program once you have drawn them out???

Thanks PC. There has definitely been a journey from A Good Blaster through to this one.

It's a mixture of things...I start on paper, copy the loose lines into Illustrator, print that out. Trace (by hand) and scan it in - once into Illustrator and once into Photoshop - this allows me to mess about with the colours and distress, but also keep the paths as a vector.

Qwertee = www.qwertee.com

One of the daily tee sites - I put designs up on there - they get voted for - if a design has enough votes it goes on sale for 24/48 hours.

I've got a few designs on there for voting (including the blaster, yoda and ewok designs) - so I'm kinda gutted that Ackbar was rejected.

Rejected how? By whom?
An idiot i can only assume. Not only the best of the 4 designs but with the popularity of Family Guy and their Star Wars spoof "It's A Trap" this T would have been an easy sell. It's a no brainer. I'd stake 100s of £s that this Tee would outsell all the others with ease. Sorry to be so blunt if you know people at that company but stupidity always gets me riled.

Why don't you sell it yourself? I actually thought you were selling these on your own site. If not, you really should be.
I'll sell it for you if you want! I may not have a fancy t-shirt company but i have a semi-sucessful and fast growing ebay business and vintage t-shirts is something i was planning on getting into later in the year.

Ha! No worries fella - I have no idea who the folk at Qwertee are...

This is their FAQ:

Qwertee said:
Artwork must be your own, you have to have created all of it yourself! Designs must be of a reasonable level of design skill to be accepted, see the current designs as a guide. If your design does not appear, it is most likely as it did not meet these criteria

Like I say, I'm gutted as I really like the design - I'm still waiting to hear from TeeBusters (another daily tee site - but much much smaller) and I've got it listed for sale at RedBubble.

That's very strange. It's the exact same quality as the other 3 you made and you designed/made it yourself. So fits the criteria perfectly. If i were you i'd be emailing them and asking them what they're playing at.

Got to agree with you here (I would stake tens rather than hundreds though  ). That line, that character, what more do you need? I think the trouble is we are slightly biased in our Star Wars warped minds.

Sorry the idea didn't go as well as hoped Zombie :(

I don't have the printing nous my man - I'd love to be able to get them out there - which is why I put them on sites like RedBubble - the return is tiny - but it's more about the designs and the idea that someone would wear them :)

If I knew a way of getting them printed and out to market I'd be on it! There was someone from AllTheCoolStuff that emailed me through this forum - but they never got back to me :(

Thanks guys - I've emailed to get the low down - it may just be they feel there are too many SW shirts up for voting at the moment - I may resubmit at a later date(?)

Maybe they just didn't get it?
