Star Wars Revisited

Thanks mate- i felt the same and gave something like £50 to ESB:R- i was that impressed.

I have contacted the guys at SW:R and will let you know when i get a reply.

OK- there will be a funding drive in a few weeks. Obviously its difficult when they are using other properties so i guess its more of a gift.

I'll let you know or keep updated by joining their facebook page

Hi maul keep me updated I will happily make a donation these guys have worked magic on ANH I don't use facebook I just found it to be a way for people I didn't like to contact me and quit in my first week :)

UPDATE:

DONATION DRIVE UPDATE!!!!

Well, it does look like i will have to make another, and this time final, donation drive. I was hoping that the last one would have been the final one and that i would be able to finance the remainder myself. But, after working out my everyday finances, i will be only able to finance a very small amount of what is left. I really didn't want to have to do this again for ESB:R, but there is no way of avoiding it i'm afraid.

So here it is....

BUT.... i will now be adding EXTRA PRIZES for the donation draw that will be taking place once everything is made and filmed ( so winners will be able to make their choice of top prize once they can see the finished item).

Now here are the extra prizes........

I will be adding an extra 10 runners up prizes of the personally signed a3 print of the original painting used for the EP4 Revisited DVD cover.

There will also now be an extra main prize...... Anyone who donates £25 or more will get entered into a separate draw to win the snowspeeder model. If you have donated multiple times then it is your total in donations that get counted and not just a single donation, so if you have donated more than £25 then you will automatically get entered into this extra draw. You can see it's progress here:

As you can see in the description it has been modified so that it closer resembles the studio version of the model. I will post more photos of the finished model once it is done.

Now these extra prizes are on top of the ones originally offered, but they are still a part of the same draw. So that means that previous donators that will be a part of the draw will still be eligible to win the extras.

Full details about the donation prize draw can be found here:

Again, thank you to everyone that has helped make this edit possible.

Once i have all the materials needed then i will announce here that the donations will be closed. Any that may be received after this date will saved and used for ROTJ:R

I downloaded it but haven't watched it yet. I looked through the change list and thought I wouldn't even notice 99% of the changes, so there was no urgency to watch it.

Anybody following his 'update' of ESB? Must say I'm disappointed now. Here's the latest comparison video:

It seems that just like good old George, the attention has gone to his head and he's now trying to make his own special edition  adding loads of stuff that wasn't in the originals (extra vehicles, LED displays inside the snowspeeder) and even 'correcting' the speech using his own voice by the sound of it!

Yeah i must say that the reason i was first excited to see SW:R is i thought it was going to basically be the original cinematic version of the film only all cleaned up and made to look awesome (something we've sadly never been able to see) but i was disappointed to see they'd left most of the Lucas bullshit additions which for me completely ruined the movies.
Adding even more bits that weren't in the originals is a massive no no for me. It was when Lucas did it!!
How i long for the day when we can see the original versions with NO extra **** whatsoever only remastered, cleaned up and made to look awesome. I wonder if we ever will. :(

These look pretty good:

Anybody know where to get them?

I really enjoyed this version of star wars, can't wait to see empire, he does brilliant work, finding the links to download other versions of movies is very longwinded, any links anyone can pm me? and the other versions of the movies out there, any worth a watch?
