STAR WARS: REBELS NEW TV SHOW

I thought it was mhew.

I thought the whole series overall was average and below average in alot of ways.

I guess I'm on my own here :|

After watching the first 6 or so episodes I came to the conclusion that it was a pile of ****. Just my 2 pence worth.

There are some nice nods to vintage - I've seen the blasters mentioned but, I realised today after a trip to the Disney store that the Inquisitor's ship is a small wing prototype TIE advanced - that's real vintage nerdism 8)

I enjoyed a lot of the series. Overall it's a good start with many OT hooks.

Whilst Ezra is a little annoying, he's not binks level annoying. He's the hook for the age appropriate audience. I like the fact that the 'Jedi' are all a bit vulnerable and it looks as if they might play dark side powers with him. Vader is in now, so either Kallous gets promoted, or vader takes centre stage. Would be interesting to see Kallous get damaged and suited up as some kind of EU looking sith agent. He's got genocidal history.. So it's inevitable he'll get his comeuppance.

What I do hope is that they leave the holy trinity characters well alone. Although it would be funny to see Luke helping his uncle in the background on tatooine. Getting moaned at or something similar.. But leave it at that. Seeing as bail organa is in this, I wouldn't be surprised to see a youthful leia in training at the Alderaan palace.. I don't want to see the youthful adventures of lil Leia though.

From the three animated series so far, this has had the most careful of introductions. It's all new story, new characters are decent enough (borderline cringe on some aspects).. And the story fits into the main Star Wars timeline.

My hope is that some of the heroes get killed. Be funny to see a blakes 7 ending with them all getting cornered and gunned down in a Butch CAssidy & the sun dance Kid stylee.

Finally finished watching this series. I have enjoyed it, love the little nods to the OT but nowhere near the league of the Clone Wars.

have enjoyed though and like Pete says above Ezra isn't particularly a favourite of mine, has that typical Disney feel to him, looks like the love child of Aladdin. Do love Hera and Chopper though and Agent Kallas (think that's how he spells it) is a favourite of mine.

I would recommend reading A New Dawn if people like this. Gives the back story of how Hera and Kanan meet and although first chapters are slow does turn out to be a good quick read. Has helped my enjoyment of Kanan more as a character as gives you insight into his Jedi training.

Overall, looking forward to series 2.

I've really enjoyed this first series, I watched it with my 8 year old, he wasn't as keen as he was in Clone Wars but asked to watch it every weekend.
The last two episodes I thought were great.

Loved that last episode and the run in, great action and a darker tone, also love the surprise apperences at the end.
All in all a nice set of episodes and can't wait for season 2, hopefully a full 22 episodes instead of the 13 we just had.

Yes I liked the episode except the end was spoilt by SN as the Americans had it weeks before us. That needs to get sorted. I think/hope it's going to get more underground now and hopefully Vader and Ahsoka duel.

I was really into this series until the mid season break and watched the first 9 episodes and loved them, since then though i seem to have lost all interest and its built up now that im just not in the mood to sit through a few episodes. hope I get my enthusiasm back though as i did really enjoy it.

I thought Ahsoka returning was rubbish,
she left the Jedis and now she is back in a significant role with the rebels?
Didn't take her long to forgive them...

Enter Darth Vader... Yes! Love the mcquarrieesque look, the only thing I look forward to in the next season, and I hope Ezra breaks his lightsaber. :p

Season 2 trailer is now out and about - http://www.empireonline.com/news/story.asp?NID=44050

I defy anyone to watch this and at least not smile, so much OT goodness and I personally love the continuity with the clone wars sooooo looking forward the this.

The full season one will be broadcast on starwars.com on May 4th.

Also heard that Sky have bought the rights to ALL films, cartoons, documentaries distribution in the UK.
