**** YEAH!

This is just too cool! Just hope they do a good job on it!

Speculating here, but it would be sweet to have something covering Obi-Wan's 'lost' period, Yoda ending up on Dagobah, more Jabba, the transition from Clone Troopers to Stormtroopers etc....

Oh and new toys!!!

I don't think you need to ask for this with Disney at the helm...

What you might want is for Hasbro to carry on making them, and prey the prices stay sensible.

 It just hit me, Star Wars figures will be available in the Disney store, I think I will fall asleep crying into my pillow tonight... :(

At least they will actually be in stock!!!! THe number of Cars, Toy Story and Marvel toys in every Disney store I go in is always impressive!! It can only be a good thing surely if there's another, more reliable source????

I do hope they stay away from the sort of animation they have done for Earths Mightiest Heroes or Ultimate Spider-Man (and the tone of the latter), I think that style works with that material but just wouldn't work with Star Wars. Personally I loved the Clone Wars look, feel and tone so wouldn't object to seeing more of it but I guess Disney will want to present something to distinguish their offering from others. Still this is great stuff to see, but to say it hasn't been covered is a little wrong, hasn't been covered on TV or film, for all the EU fans this period has had a fair bit of attention lately do again it will be interesting to see how Disney feel about riding roughshot over the EU cannon - or not :)

Still looking forward to this.

Indeed, I am not too up on the EU stuff (way too lazy to read books and comics haha!). But I can see why some people could be a bit miffed...

Not wrong there, Toys R Us is full of that crap...

Disney has SW stuff for sale for years in their theme parks. And not just beside Star Tours.

I have seen the Star Tours stuff, that what I'm afraid of. Seen a few other Disney bits here and there...

Maybe we can go halves and get Mumbo a Double Telescoping Pluto

In the EU, R5-D4 is a jedi.

I Googled it and it turns out you are right. http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Skippy_the_Jedi_Droid

'One day, R5 removed his restraining bolt with the Force, and Force persuaded the Gamorrean guards to let him leave. Skippy wandered the desert for days in search of his destiny, until finally he was picked up by a Jawa sandcrawler. There he had visions of Darth Vader and Princess Leia, and met R2-D2 and C-3PO.'

No. It was a tongue in cheek joke story. It was never intended to be taken as a moving of the story. There are a few others like that - called SW Infinities.

They stock Hasbro and Kenner stuff too. Not just Disney characters as SW characters.

DT Goofy would be more appropriate

Actually I'm starting to think mumbo doesn't actually exist. I think he's a figment of your imagination which you've allowed to escape. You're apparent "double posts" are very suspicious. I mean - has anyone actually seen him?

Wasn't infinities mate. It was a Star Wars Comic in early 2000.

Yes it was originally but when infinities came out later wasn't it bundled into the TPB? I could be wrong though it was a while ago I read it. It was always meant as a joke though never intended to be or try to be canon. Whatever that means with the EU!
