Great marketing for the Blue Ray folks, off the strength of this news I think im going to buy a HD TV, a Blue Ray Player and the Star Wars boxset.....

lucas arts board meeting goes something like this.........

"Damn it guys we gotta make money,there is a recession on. what the hell can we do???? lets release star wars again this time with a few extra bits of cgi so we ruin the origional feel of it, oh and lets throw in a scene that really dosent have much to do with the plot and put some of the characters that no one likes in one of the episode that people do, maybe they will like that character more. cool man great idea and lets put it on another format so everyone has to buy it"

although it was unsettling to hear the "yeeeaaahhh" and the "whooooooot " for that extra scene they are totally goin nuts about a few extra seconds of movie.?????? :lol:

Only a matter of time before they were released on blu-ray wasn't it?

3D will be a few years away but I reckon that'll be next.

Gotta say I'll be buyin them just glad the old PS3 doubles up as a blu ray player.

Hopefully they will reissue the Laserdisc versions on blueray as they had really good extras.
