Hi Guys,

My family and i have been invited to a "Go as your favourite character" party for the mother in laws 50th later this month.

My Mrs has agreed that we are a Star Wars family and therefore should all go dressed up;

Me, Medium build 5'9"
Wife Size 10/12 (Big Cans) 5'2.5"
Boy and Girl aged 6

Have been scouring the internet for ideas. My son has about 5 different Star Wars costumes, so he isn't a problem, he has a wicked Darth suit. I'll probably go for a Stormtrooper outfit and the wife is looking at Leia ones. I was looking for an Ewok one for my daughter but can't see anything out there.

Has anyone got any ideas. I don't have the gene which allows me to crap money, so i'm not really looking at 501st standard stuff (except for me obviously!!)

Cheers

Jez

You might be better off looking for 'Teddy Bear' fancy dress then adding some accessories to get the Ewok look, it might widen the choices and price range.

You know what its like for anything that has a Star Wars label, extra wonga!!!!

Yes Iain, i have all the good lines!

Thanks for the idea JuniorChubb. I'll look into that. It doesn't have to be an Ewok for her, i was just running out of ideas. I said R2 and Jawa and she wasn't overly keen, suggested Ewok and her face lit up!

Thanks again

This seems good

(look out for a testimonial by a Mr BS    )

I would be buzzin' if I was you Jez, the last Star Wars party I went to led to hours of putting my Solo outfit together.

Well, we ordered me the Deluxe Stormtrooper costume, my wife got the Leia Organa costume, my son was Darth and my daughter was delighted to be C3P0.

The morning of the party weekend, we were just packing up the car, when we got a phone call to say that the party was postponed for 24hrs possibly indefinitely as my father in law had suffered from a cardiac arrest.

We spent the whole weekend in and out of the hospital waiting for some news, unfortunately there aren't many doctors available on weekends.

The party was naturally cancelled.

However on the Sunday me and my little best mate decided to get dressed up to lighten the mood (i was itching to try it on!)

Below are some opportunity photos which we took.

My father in law who is waiting for a triple bypass poor fella  ,loved the photos.

I can't recommend Chris from Millennium Costumes ( http://www.millenniumcostumes.com/ ) enough, the service was first class, as was the suit and Chris' communication. I would definitely hire one again. Next time though it may be Bobba Fett!!

Cool pictures. Fingers crossed your father in law is ok after the by pass.

PS, I'm just waiting for someone to ask about pictures of your wife in the Leia bikini.
