I must admit its was a dive but this time IT WAS A PEN. But if fergie says so then :shock:
I watched it with a Utd supporting mate and my first reaction was, "penalty and a yellow for diving."
There was prob just enough contact to warrant a penalty, by no means a stone-waller, but you see them given just about more often than not. BUT Young made one hell of a meal of it, and for that, had I been ref, I would have booked him. "thanks very much son, but I dont need you diving like a poof every two mins to tell me when you've been fouled, now take your yellow card and ****ing man up!"

yeah but if a ref saw someone do a swan dive he would immediately blow and card the player but i doubt he would also give a pen even if there were slight contact.
if you look at the young gif, if that had gone to a replay he would have been booked and no pen as he left his leg out and then simulates being hit by a landmine, he shouldn't get an pen fr that.

arteta was off injured for both goals, and he's the only one that seems to organise the midfield - bit concerned about the final few games now
Can't complain as at the beginning of the season I genuinely thought we'd be joining the likes of Liverpool, Norwich and Swansea in mid table obscurity. 3rd or 4th will do nicely now, means we should keep Van Perise and not be forced into buying overpriced donkeys :wink:

sad thing is that the money involved with the champions league means that its better for the boardroom and for attracting star names to finish 20 points off the top and trophyless as long as it means a champions league place.
Its something like £40mill for qualifying for the champions league and £10 mill for winning the FA cup - crazy

oh yeah thats where all the teams want to be, not much revenue in a league cup win.
but as far as progress goes, Liverpool aint gonna win the CL and they aint short of cash now, so to stick a cup double in th cabinet will bide some time.

Yeah, I was talking about this with an Arsenal supporting mate the other day. Would you rather finish third, play in CL and win FA (for the 6th year running). Or play like a bunch of retards for most of the season and be in a dog fight for 8th, not play in Europe and win a cup with another final to come!?
Personally, I'd take Arsenal's season over Liverpool's. And Arse fans could be excused for 'accepting' a season of shite if it meant breaking the trophy drought.

i would only take arsenals season if we dont win FA cup, if we lose to chelsea its been a **** season.
yeah we can go on about if we had a finisher we would be around top 5 but we aint.
However a cup double is a BIG achievement, and 2 pieces of silverware and 3 trips to wembley would make me happier than the thought of CL next year and getting knocked out lol.
