Had a parcel posted via Special Delivery on Wednesday and it arrived Friday. Will take fit the bill for compensation? I read somewhere that it was £5 or if it took more than 10 days then it's £10 for Special Delivery. Anyone made this claim before?

Theres a form you can download off the internet. Just fill in all the details and send it off, you will receive your money back for the special delivery plus £5 for every day after I believe.
I'm on my phone so can't post a link but go the Post Office website and I am sure you will find it.
They don't contest it as it's all recorded.

You should get your money back no problem as like you say, it's all recorded.
Due to volumes of mail this time of year some Specials do seem to get delayed, especially if there is bad weather that cripples a mail centre getting mail out to other office's or mail centre's.

i had a special delivery take 3 days and im claiming, if you charge a premium you have to provide the service, you will get your money back mate, but they ask you to send the original recipt, make sure you send it recorded or it may "never be received"
