Space figures Made in Macau are they genuine S W Figures?

I thought I posted this up before but most not have.

Basically im just looking to find out a valuation on these figures.
people asking how much I want for certain things, im sorry I really don't know lol.

Im getting to know alot more about these from Joe and other people on this forum which is great thanks

Im in no rush to sell these just wanting to find out about them and find a rough valuation on them.

Allan - £300 was about the going rate for a common Irish 3 pack combination in about 2008 if it helps (common being the Dengar, Threepio and emperor combo) I would say with these being hard to find if not unique combinations then £500 might be around the right kinda price nowadays perhaps £600. Then again someone might come along and say they would pay £1K for it...who knows!

The best thing you can do if you want to sell them and get the best return is put them up for a silly price and accept offers - after a certain period of time you can accept the highest one at your discretion or just stick them up on ebay and see what happens with a high reserve. It's not the greatest way to see how high people will bid things up because a reserve usually puts people off from bidding and its a bit of a time waster for those that actually do want to buy them from you but if you are clueless and the offers are coming in all over the place you could at least test the market that way.

I really wouldn't want to put a value on them to the penny because the Vintage market is always up and down and things are ultimately worth whatever someone wants to pay for them, find the right person and you are going to get the highest price!

The woolies 8 packs do show up from time to time but they very rarely show up in sealed large bags, usually the bags are open and the individual figures can be taken out.

Both the 3 packs and the 8 packs were the result of a loss of interest in Star Wars in the late 80's, overstock (usually already carded or at least bagged from the factory) were bought up by the truck load by various companies and bundled onto or into these kinds of bags or packaging in order to sell them on in bulk.

The 8 packs usually contain loose + bagged figures, presumably the loose ones were taken off of cards to fit into the bags and the bagged figures were already small enough to fit (bagged figures were a way of transporting stock from one country to another for packaging onto cards)

You would be wise to look at the figures you have in those 8 packs and see which ones are bagged and which are loose, if there are any hard to find characters/last 15 figures in there it could potentially inflate the price quite a bit!

The amount of stuff she had in here house is unreal, from lego, star wars, gi joe, a team, action man, micro machines, loads of different tomy toys. All never opened.
Her loft was full with Hornby train sets that had never been opened.

Think she just bought them for the grandchildren but never got round to giving them out haha.

A couple of years ago I managed to spot one of the Woolies 8 packs on ebay, it was opened and had a similar combination of figures to the one you have with 8D8, (it had the light blue Fett, Chirpa, Leia Poncho etc) anyways, my friend won that auction as he has/had a special interest in these multipacks and he managed to get the lot for about £150 or so, maybe slightly higher. He said at the time he was happy with the price because it was way under his final bid amount and what he was prepared to spend on one.

It kinda worked out pretty cheap because even if he had split that up for resale he still got the 8 figures for a song. I assume he would have gone to something like £250-300 but he didn't have the competition at the time.

I have also seen an 8 pack bag (yes just the big bag with the sticker) being offered for sale for something silly like £250, it's got a tonne of sentimental value though and its definitely hard to come by but I doubt anyone could successfully piece one of these together without some trouble. Not to mention it is after all just a plastic bag so £250 was madness.

Now, if yours are sealed as they were sold in the shops it automatically adds a premium. An unsealed bag complete with all original figures is easily a £300 item, sealed it is probably close to £450-500. Like I said earlier in this thread though, that might be low if someone really, really wants it.

These are just incredibly hard to price, the pool of buyers for stuff like this is also pretty small but thankfully those people realise the importance and the rarity of the items and are prepared to pay for it should they come up.

All I can say is - you can probably go on a decent 2 week holiday with your kids, parents AND your neighbours with the funds you are potentially sitting on with the 8 packs and the 3 packs
