well these are the highlights of my collection. ive got most of the loose vintage figures in mint condition but they are bagged up in a big box waiting for me to pull my finger out and send them to afa so i didnt take any pics of them. below are a few odds and sods ive collected over the years....

this was given to me by my wifes best mate for christmas one year. she was out doing christmas shopping in brighton when she walked into a shop and saw dave power doing a signing. she didnt know who he was so she actually went up to him and asked 'who are you?' lol he explained very politely he played darth vader in star wars which still meant nothing to her but she knew i was into star wars and got him to sign this for me .

i got this one myself at a ray park signing at forbidden planet before the world premier in 1999 of phantom menace. when i got to the front of the queue i asked him to sign the photo ' never **** with a lord of the sith' but he had a guy from lucas film ltd there and he wouldnt let him! i also had a darth maul figure i wanted ray to sign but the lucas film guy said only authorised photos were allowed (which i had to pay £10 for as well as £10 per signature!! ) when i asked for a receipt the lucas guy went off to get it and ray quickly signed the figure for free...what a nice chap :D

these 3 catalogues are all that remain from my original collection from my childhood. the star wars one shows a vc jawa instead of a cloth cape one.

this is my favourite. its sealed up in a keener baggie although there are 2 small holes in it. the figure is in absofuckinglutly pristine condition and i love it! once again when i pull my finger out this'll be going to afa. this kick started my collection about 4 /5 years ago. i found this on ebay. the guy actually spelt blue snaggletooth wrong in the auction so i think all the serious bidders missed this. i got it for £180 8)

im still missing about 9 figures to complete my vintage collection but im sure over time with yours and ebays help i'll have'm all. ive just acquired a luke dt that should be with me soon. will post a pic when it comes....

thanks for looking

That is a lovely Blue snag, but if you AFA him please do so in the baggie? :p

That's a superb example of a Blue Snag Baggie 8)

Would be a grime against the hobby to see it removed from that bag!

Hello mate,

Sweet collection so far. I see you have some nice SW autographs. I myself have recently completed a small project of collecting the first 12 autographs of the characters on the first 12 kenner action figures. The DS Commander was the most difficult one to find.

Good going mate again I love the Blue Snag baggie.

Grant.

i wasnt aware i could get it graded by afa still in the bag. if this right? i thought they take it out of the bag for grading and give it a U clasification.

The simple answer is its yours to do with it as you please :) but yes AFA will grade it in the bag, might get a slightly lower grade if its a bit damaged, but then you have to ask yourself : do you want it sealed in acrylic to preserve that awesome figure thats been in its original and rare baggie for 30 years or get it opened and look at a grade on a loose figure that someone you will never meet has told you your figure is worthy of ?

Oh dear, let's not go there again

Nice autographs....I am an autograph hound as well.

funnily enough i never really thought about focusing just on autographs. ive just somehow 'acquired' them over the years. thing is they are knida interesting. ive been trawling the net and by the looks of it vader and fett autographs are quite easy to come by. luke and han seem to be a bit harder to find and go for premium rates. im starting to get hooked and im not sure i can financially afford to lol. think im gonna see if i can get all the new hope autographs and leave it at that. i would be very interested to see your collection.

as for the blue snag. after hearing what you guys have said im very interested about getting it graded still in the bag. as ive said i had no idea this was an option. does anyone have any pics of a graded figure still in a kenner baggie as id like to see how it displays.

i was also quite shocked to see all your reactions regarding 'U clasifications' and the impact its having on carded figures.( i read the link aussiejames posted...but not all 14 pages lol) ive never really thought about it before but your concerns seem to be justified.

Well this is UKG an English grading company, not AFA as mentioned but you will get the idea from Del's webshots :

Very nice collection. The autographs look cool! 8)

Not even gonna mention "U" grades

its pretty much exactly the same as mine which must mean he must have got it at the same signing as me at forbidden planet in london. hes asking £30 although theres no date on it like mine
