So guys what do you think

From that RS discussion it looks like they got the value dead on - hope he ends up posting it Emiel

Sorry to hear this Emiel! :(

This sounds like a job for:

I noticed this when it first came up on RS.
The price sounded maybe just a little high - because it was folded.

I have a similar boxflat that is unfolded, and have perhaps seen two or three more.

I did notice the boxflat pop up on Ebay and actually placed a low bid myself.
The end price was much lower than I expected - even for a regular folded box - if that's what it is now.

The UK has had a crazy amount of rain in the last few weeks, so a flood or something is actually not impossible.
I would certainly want to see photos too if I had won

Good onya Emiel,

I've had this happen to me before, I won a huge lot of loose figures and playsets that were poorly listed and the bloke wouldn't respond to the sale. Finally I sent him a message asking him to just tell me the truth and man up which to my surprise he did.

He straight out told me he didn't want to let his childhood toys go for next to nothing and apologised. I actually respected his response and gave him a few tips on how to list them for sale. Never saw them come up again so maybe the reality of losing them caused him to rethink selling them at all.

I might have to use this blokes excuse next time I sell something for a shitty price. Coming into summer and it gets quite hot so I'll just say I'm very sorry but we had a very hot day and your MOC spontaneously combusted!

I think I would let him off the hook too if would tell the truth.

It's pretty clear that he didn't get the amount he wanted so pulled out of the deal. That's the chance you take as a seller on eBay. I've sold things that went for less than I wanted but never backed out. He should have put a reserve on it.
Regarding the feedback thing, Pete Gowdy is the man to ask when it comes to people leaving you bad feedback. May be worth dropping him a PM as I'm sure there are rules to things like this. I remember he got some incorrect feedback removed not long ago.

Is there a way I can reply to his reply to my feedback? He says he has reported me to ebay...

I don't know if there is a way to reply to your feedback. But ebay will contact you about the report if he has reported it to ebay. So keep every mails and pm from him and mail them back to ebay when they contact you. So they can see he told you it was damaged and he would not sell it to you and you asked for pictures and never did get them. I don't think he will get out of this one.

Yes you can reply to feedback received (and follow up feedback received) through the feedback forum - click on the account tab on your my ebay page.
