Just wanted to say hello to you guys on here. Ive been looking at all of the vintage figures on ebay over the festive period and i really want to start collecting the old stuff again. In the late 70's early 80's i had a large collection of figures and vehicles, but when i got into the teenage years (gave them all away). So ive got the bug again and looking to build a good collection from scratch

This is a great community to ask questions and find stuff for your collection. Do you know what you are going after yet? Just go easy in the early days, there are a lot of assholes out there.

Yeah, some of the prices on ebay are scary !! I figure that just loose figures and nothing mint condition to start off with until i get wise to buying the old stuff. Small vehicles also like speeder bikes etc so i guess i can start anywhere as i dont have anything. I did buy i few things on ebay the other day, IMPERIAL TIE FIGHTER PILOT , LUKE SKYWALKER BESPIN BLONDE HAIR, GAMORREAN GUARD, REBEL SOLDIER (esb) pink face , AT-AT COMMANDER pink face variant , AT AT Driver C8+ , REBEL COMMANDO (rotj). Once i have a few more things i'll start looking at the bounty hunters, speeder bike scout and storm troopers in general

Welcome to the forum Tim. Lots of figures often for sale on the forum in the sales section but if you're buying on ebay (and you'll find lots of good stuff there too) just beware that a lot of figures have repro weapons these day and the sellers don't always know (or do and don't say). If ever in doubt just ask on here and people will be able to help.

If there are specific figures you're after it's always worth putting an "ad" in the "wanted" section.

Hi welcome to the forum. I would suggest making sure you buy mint figures with original weapons. Somebody once told me a mint figure is worth 10 beaters. If you get the bug to want to start collecting it won't be long before you'll probably want minty figures. Best place to pick up quality figures is in the the forums, you know what you're getting then as ebay can land some nasty surprises.
