SNL Star Wars Commercial Parody

This is hilarious, very funny.

Also I have to say that if I could go back to being a kid I wouldn't do anything differently - I got such enjoyment out of playing with the toys as a kid and have no regrets at all about ripping figures off their cards and playing with them!

That is awesome but I'm still going to let my youngling open all the toys he likes (as long as they're not mine  )

I'd say it's an age thing. I was born January 1978, so just after it all started. I couldn't wait to remove the toys from the packaging, then couldn't give a toss about it going in the bin. When I was about 16 I got taken to a toy fair by my Uncle, where I saw MOCs for the first time in 10 years, I was in heaven. No one told me "remember to keep them in the packaging" I just knew I wanted to. I bought anything they had that I could afford, and was lucky enough to blow a bit extra on ones that would turn out to be sought after today.

Being back in the collecting game a year now, I notice that pretty much everyone who kept the toys in their packaging, were basically too old to really be playing with them, so we have them to thank for this, and people like me for loose lol.

That's so true. Never thought about that: no one told the adult collector not to open the figures, you just don't want. to If there hadn't been geeks and collectors 38 yrs ago the available MOCs would be a fraction of what they are now. And there wouldn't be store displays or posters to buy at all.

Excellent parody advert :) Not sure I want to show it to the family, I don't need more ridicule!
