Signed/autographed items

I've been thinking of picking up a few signed pictures recently, but with the minefield of fakes and forgeries out there I'm a bit wary.

Can anybody offer advice as where to go to for authentic items???

I know about K9 and Official Pix, but would ideally like somewhere this side of the pond to avoid import duty ect.

I've seen AutographCity on ebay who have a few nice pieces, but would like to hear from a few members first before I dive in.

I've got Chunk from the Goonies and the Soup Nazi, that's about as far as my Autograph collection goes. :lol:

Have you tried an Autograph forum, I'm guessing you would have a similar community to here looking out for scammers selling fakes. That's how I'd probably go about it. Not too keen on some of those official photos people get autographed with those big arsed holograms tucked in the corner, ruines the whole feel of the photo IMO.

lots of UK fellas there, you will quicklly find great items for good prices.
Also keep looking for shows and conventions in the UK, where you can
get the autoraphs from the celebrities in person.
UK and US have tonns of shows a year, lucky buggers,
we get nothing down here. 8)

If they are a part of autograph fair trade association you can trust the suppler.

There are loads at Joiners film conventions that sell thousands of autographs.

I only get mine in person so don't know any of the dealers.

Thanks for the replies fellas.

I got a nice Jeremy Bulloch at MEM last year, but it's becoming harder to get autographs 'in person'. I remember years ago Kenny Baker Anthony Daniels there, now in a fortnights time, it's the cast from 'Allo 'Allo.

I got another framed pic with coa from some Welsh guy at MEM, he had loads of signed items for sale.

Guess I'll keep looking out for items.

Apart from £2k Ford signatures :shock:

Just got 2 first timers at Cardiff con who did the animatronics for Jabba.

There's tons of conventions every month. Ones in Southampton, Burnley and Norwich coming up.

Stormtrooper reunion in Milton Keynes for the autograph collectors that have everything.

Never thought I'd sell mine, but in need of some quick cash to fund other buys. Will be going to Burnley in May so will pick up another for myself.

Autograph City is good. Got a few from there.

I would also go to celebrity ink autographs.
