Had a big works awards do on Wednesday Night, when I came around Thurs morning it appeared I'd been browsing through eBay and made a big purchase.

See pics - Its a Kenner ESB R2-D2 MOC (31 CARDBACK IN UK) bit worried I may have overspent - but lesson learnt! Clearly eBay needs a 'pissed fart filter' to stop morons (such as myself) going trigger happy on there!

Also, considering I'm only collecting loose figures my drunken side appears to want to go the MOC route....

Anyone else done anything similar?

Rich.

I got drunk one night and woke up 12 years later with a wife and two kids if that counts!

Nice MOC BTW how much was too much if you don't mind me asking?

It's a nice item tho. Worth in the region of £80 or slightly more i'd say... how much did you pay?? :?

I maybe a little low, i often undervalue... ask Ham, i think he has one of these. I was knocking off quite a bit for the crease on the top left.

I don't think you have done that badly - if it were a bid then someone wanted to pay £138 at least at some point !

I would think you have a £100=£120 card there and in the right auction could get your money back

If you are on the piss tonight then I have a nice white bearded Yak you can have a bid on when you get home

I believe I used to own this card many moons ago. It's not an easy one to find. I reckon 120-140 is definitely a fair price.

I think that was a great drunken buy mate.

I've had a few drunken purchases on ebay, quite a few actually

Glad to hear I'm not alone AND I've not gone too overboard!

Still, it looks great in the collection, now pondering whetere to get MOC C3PO to complete the team!

Sorry Iain, I'm off the booze for a while so no buys tonight :)

@Caswellbott - Yeah the eBay said it was a hard to find back too - impressed you recognised it!

How much is that Yak at at the moment Iain? I feel like i might need a new one soon.

He's a bargain with bids only at £38.00 at the moment :D

Done that kinda thing more times than I care to remember. The worst occasion had to be paying £5+ for some battered beat up loose figs.

At least they went to my nephew who appreciated them

Looks a nice MOC though does that R2

And this is why I am glad I don't drink!!

That said, it's a great card. I love the original C3P0 and R2 on ESB cards!

Ok, i've been out for a meal with the Mrs tonight and this is how bad things have got...
The local brewery has a real ale called ESB, naturally i had to have a few pints of that. I then get in from the meal, whilst my Mrs chats with the babysitter, i suddenly find myself bidding on, not 1 but 16 different MOCs!!!!!!!!!!!
I have an illness

Rich I think you got a nice card there & I also love the first figures on the ESB cards & it was not way over the odd's TBH, all that matters is that you are happy with it & if your not you can send it to me, as I do
