Sick and twisted little game, you lot should like it

 go for a greco wrestler as they might be feeling down after having their Olympic careers cut short......

We could turn this amateur game into a professional one by devising rules and points to make it more interesting and to increase the randomness of the picks?

Check these game rules out.........

The current format is fun but I'm competitive and want to turn it into a competition :) if it drums up enough interest I'll organise it..... So people if you are reading and fancy joining in on the game rules linked above then put your hat into the ring, otherwise I'll climb back under my rock and the game can continue as it is :D

I suggested 1 point for each year below 90 for your "pick".
ie: if you picked Patrick Moore (89 at the time of death) you'd have got 1 point. But if you had picked Amy Wino (27 at the time f death) you'd have scored 73.
This encourages more interesting and adventerous picking.
I also think any official reports of severe or life-threatening illness (at the time of your pick) should make that 'pick'/person void. ie: only "healthy" people can be picked. Tho idiots like Gazza are fair game cos he just drinks a lot. Which doesn't count as a "severe, life-threatening illness". Just a death-wish.

I think that's a yes then

We can make it simple and fun or a little more complex yet still fun with a mix of the rules above or just our own ones :?:

I'll take

Maggie Thatcher
Kim Jong Il

and

Delia Smith

We have a winner!

Are you some sort of secret agent who's offing all these political leaders and making it look like heart attacks or strokes!?

Game of death......... why not

1, Nelson Mandela
2, The Iron Lady
3, Fidel Castro

Voodo dolls nearing completion :)

I had her too :D but being the sportsman that I am I shall take no credit as Iain had her down 2 years prior to my selection.

Time for a new selection me thinks..........

Congrats Iain :D

It's as if millions of voices were suddenly heard. If she gets a full paid by the state ceremony with statue etc I'll be more than furious. Yes she did so e good things but far worse IMO.

Do you guys think i should raise the price of my Maggy Tatcher 'Spitting Image' trading card packs??
As much for the irony as anything else.

She made a lot of unpopular decisions but not sure she deserves the disrespect in death that she is getting from some people

Not to get into a whole political debate but i think she had as negative/devastating effect on some people's lives in Britain as anyone who's ever lived so while she was alive or (irrelevantly) now that she's dead, i think people deserve their gripe. I think as long as people's views are honest and informed then dead or alive they should speak their mind. (i for one have never bought into this 'don't speak ill of the dead' nonsense. Doesn't make any sense to me whatsoever)
It's funny on facebook some of my middle-class friends are sending condolences while the working class are crying "good riddance" and posting invites to the Brixton "Maggie's Dead" street party.
I feel when Robin Hood died it was probably much the other way around.

That is the beauty of a democracy I guess - everyone can express an opinion.

To be honest I think that this "think she had as negative/devastating effect on some people's lives in Britain as anyone who's ever lived" is utter bollocks - but I guess that is my opinion

I guess you'd have to speak to those she affected to really know whether that's true or not. But whatever you think of her this utter hatred from some doesn't come from nowhere. Name one other political figure in our recent history as hated as Maggie. And people love to hate all and any political figures. It's a british pass-time. So this HAS to be something that goes a little deeper. No?
