All,
Finally registered here since I finally have something to post.. I lurk here at least once a month for some fresh air (from RS), more frequently lately and already know many of you here from RS. : )
Just wanted to chime in and let everyone know that what Grant said is correct, my droid factory was already opened when I purchased it. I actually bought it with a broken seal (loose tape, actually) on eBay back in Sept 08 - before I even knew what a U-grade was. I sent it in unassembled because I was speaking with Tanisha (at AFA) one day and she said they would assemble it for me to make sure it looks nice. Like many of you here, I don't see a difference in U graded items and would not pay the premium for them if my focus was on loose figures. I am not a dealer, so I have no desire to make money of this phenomenon. The only other U-graded items I have ever owned came from multipacks, and every baggie I have ever had graded was graded sealed. I am actually crazy about baggies, if you ever sell them to me I guarantee they will never be opened as long as I own them!! : )
But just for a minute, let's pretend I did open a MISB item, why would there be an issue with that? That is much different than destroying a card. My 85 Droid Factory actually has a loose seal, big deal.. It still displays awesome! Just playing devil's advocate, I am interested in hearing some constructive opinions on MISB items.
Best Regards,
-chris
