Selling my complete vintage loose figure collection

Hi folks

The time has come to sell my vintage loose figure collection, i have been a collector for 15 years but due to financial reason have decided to part them.

Hi Matey, You really need to put some close up photos on ebay of the actual figures with their weapons, with like 10 figures in each photo, otherwise you'll probably not get near what they are worth. Also i'd sell VC Jawa and DT Luke and droids & Ewoks seperately if i was you :wink:

and put your telephone number and location on so people who are close by can come and have a look...Thats what i'd do :wink:

Yeah I think Chewie is right. I know its a bit of hassle but you should really try to sell the higher end figures separately. All last 17 plus Blue Snag, Luke DT etc.

Im sure you will make a lot more!

Thanks for the advice, i cant put closeups of all of them but i will put up a few. i have really only put the collection up just to see the interest, would much rather sell of ebay to avoid all the fees.

To be honest its breaking my heart to sell them at all but i need the money, i dont really want to split them but i might have to if theres not much interest.

Is it just an exercise in interest or are you going to sell on eBay? It seems like you're testing the water rather than selling on the auction, should I watch/bid or realistically are you going to pull (especially if the price doesn't achieve what you hope?)

If i'm being honest then i will pull the auction if it doesnt meet a decent amount and will then sell privately, i know this is not very good practice but you are all aware that ebay fees are crazy.

I am hoping that the listing it will generate some interest anyway.

This is my treasured collection and like anybody i do want to get the best price for it, as suggested i might sell them seperately but i would prefer to sell as one collection.

If anyone id interested then i live in Edinburgh and would be only to happy if anyone wanted to see the collection in person

Hey Tony, it's quite sad to see another variant collection being sold off. Pull your finger out, you know you're going to have to split it up to get a reasonable dollar(pound!!) Do you still have any of the variant posters?

Yeah, it is really sad, i worked so hard at this collection and was constantly swapping figures for better conditioned ones. I realise i probably will have to split them and if this auction doesn't work out then i will.

I do still have the variant poster but it wasn't working out with selling it as the printing costs were too much and i wasn't making much profit. I sold a few of them, i sold one to rebelscum member RivesJunctionite
