Scary email from paypall.

Just had an email from paypall saying because i have made over Ã'£4500 they need to update my information to make sure i am not a buisness. I rang them to confirm the email was real , and it is.
Am i now going to have to pay tax on the Ã'£4500.
Has this happened to anybody else???? :shock: :?: :?: :shock: :? :evil:

dont think you will have to pay tax on it, unless you declare it as a buisness. you can get round this by saying you were just selling off your private collection of figures. you dont have to pay tax when you sell a car second hand unless you are a dealer

Yeah it was me, mainly due to selling my AFA 12 backs and then my AFA loose figures, all for big money. 8)

I phoned them up and once you finally get through (their automated system is a bitch !!) the assistant e-mailed me instructions on what to select for being a private seller. When you go into your paypal account go to the resolution screen or whatever it's called and on the options select private seller, date of birth, date you opened the account plus the lowest option income value and that is about it as far as I can remember.

Once you have done that you get an e-mail saying your account has been returned to normal. :wink:

Thank **** for that. I really didnt wanna get taxed on it.It is quitr high because i sold a lot of carded potf and droids figures late last year. I allso sold a full size vader , jawa and stormtrooper which really bumped up my paypall takings.
